"AS YOU LIKE IT", a comedy of family dynamics, politics, power, banishment, mistaken identity, and love in the Forest of Arden will be directed by Amie Brockway. It has a diverse cast including two Dukes who are brothers (one usurper, one banished), Lords (Jacques and others), Shepherds (old and young), Shepherdess (Phebe), Clown (Touchstone), Wrestler, Country Wench (Audrey), and Lovers galore. Daughters of the two Dukes, and therefore cousins, Rosalind and Celia disguise themselves as Shepherd (Ganymede) and Country Maid (Aliena), achieving safety in the Forest, but confusing the romantic overtures of Orlando and Oliver. Complicating things even more are the pursuits of Phebe, Silvius, Audrey and Touchstone.

“Summertree,” a brief moment in a young man’s memory, was first produced in 1968, by the Repertory Theater of Lincoln Center in NYC, and was winner of the Vernon Rice Award. The play is a joyous expression of the good things in life and powerful indictment of war and the senseless waste which it can bring.
